The Harvard Callbacks are a 15-member mixed a cappella group composed entirely of Harvard undergraduate students. We sing songs from a wide range of genres, focusing on R&B, soul, pop, rock, and jazz.
Conceived in the fall of 1986 by undergraduates Craig Hickman and Morgan Inniss, the Callbacks originated as a mixed a cappella group aiming to diversify the spectrum of artistic performance at the college. We readily developed a musical presence of our own, earning recognition across campus and beyond for our unique style and captivating performances.
Over the years, we have become well established as a premier a cappella group, frequently releasing new CDs and taking annual tours to New York, Vermont, and the Caribbean. We continue to garner national awards for our live performances, our original arrangements, and our eight studio recordings. In recent years, we have been recognized by the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) and the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA), as well as being featured on the 2009 Voices Only a cappella compilation and multiple Best of College A Cappella (BOCA) albums.
The Callbacks continue to develop our musical style to this day but our passion for music and performance remains constant.
