Let's Get Busy Together!
In times of trepidation, we need to act boldly and often. Here are some community resoures - places to give or to get  - time, talent and treasure - 
Hunger
 Donate food to a food pantry. Go to a pantry and ask what they really need and go out and get it if you can afford to do so. Find a Food Pantry
 Get involved with at Manna. They have events and accept a variety of donations.
 Volunteer at Philabundance. They also have a family volunteering night—kids 8+ can volunteer, younger kids do a craft project. 
 Write letters to your elected officials about food policy and how to change it. Find Your Elected Officials.
 Donate money to groups that work on food justice, such as Bartram’s Community Farm in West Philly.
 Have dinner at EAT Café in West Philly (a pay-what-you-can non-profit café) and pay more than the suggested amount of $15/person.
Climate Change
 Try to spend two full days every week without getting in a car.
 Choose two days a week to commit to eating no meat; if you already do this some days, make it two days more than you currently do.
 Challenge yourself to recycle more and toss less; see how many uses you can think of for an old t-shirt or a toy before you throw it away.
 Buy used, and give away things you don't want to people who can still use them.
 Join the Philadelphia Earth Quaker Action Team and consider volunteering
 Volunteer with or donate to Climate Parents  or Moms Clean Air Force
Healthcare
 Donate medical supplies to Project Sloopy
 Sign up to host guests through Hosts for Hospitals
 Donate to or volunteer with places that give free healthcare like Mazzoni Center and Greater Philadelphia Health Action
 Become more informed by getting involved with PHAN: Pennsylvania Health Access Network.
Welcoming Immigrants
 Volunteer to accompany refugees to appointments with HIAS or to accompany families facing deportation with New Sanctuary Movement.
 Sign up to be part of the deportation defense led by undocumented leaders at New Sanctuary Movement by signing up here.
 Distribute "know your rights" cards; you can print them from Vamos Juntos
 Get organizations you work for or are a part of to sign on to the Campaign to shut down the Berks County Detention Center.
 Volunteer as an ESL teacher or tutor through Nationalities Service Center or Oxford Circle CCDA 
 Donate to, or contact about volunteering with, BPSOS Delaware Valley

Mass Incarceration
 Donate to Juvenile Law Center.
  Become a Young Friend of the Youth Sentencing and Reentry Project
 Donate books you don’t need anymore to Books Through Bars to be sent to incarcerated individuals or volunteer to pack up books to be mailed.
